Adopt a three-legged dog? Why would you want to do that?
After being rescued from the streets with a horrible injury to her front left leg, this brave girl had surgery to remove the damaged limb. But Malaika finds that 3 or 4 legs doesn’t make any difference. She loves to play with other dogs and toys. She likes to chase the Hadeda ibises as she is very agile.

She was quite fearful of people because she was in pain for 4 months and people chased her away. But since her arrival at TNR Trust, she started to enjoy the company of humans and learned a lot.
An experienced dog owner would be ideal.
Still not convinced? The following is a testimony by one of the TNR Kennel Hand Volunteers:
Malaika is making great strides. She’s timid still but is learning to trust, and it doesn’t take much to get her to realize you are okay and safe to be around. It is such a pleasure to spend time with her. She is super sweet and wants to please.
