WANTED: A Special Adopter for this Special Dog

At times, we assist KSPCA with dogs that need extra special care and time to recover from their ordeals. Paco came from an abusive home together with several other dogs. He was very frightened of people and was worried about being touched.

He is only 11 months old and is slowly learning to trust people. He isn’t a ‘lap dog’ yet, but he is starting to enjoy the idea of it. He enjoys walks and loves to play with his fellow fosters. It will take a while before he will be a confident dog, but he is making great progress every day.

Paco has already made massive progress. When we brought him to TNR Trust, he was shivering like a leaf, afraid of everything and everyone. We noticed that he must have been abused and probably neglected: every time someone would try and offer him a treat or pet him, he would shy away from the hand. Upon arrival, we put him together with another dog, which gave Paco a bit of courage.

Right now, Paco is confident enough to walk and run around in the compound with the other TNR dogs and dogs owned by the foster home.

Paco would like to go to a home with older people or a family without small children. He needs a calm, patient and understanding owner, who is experienced with dogs. It would be best if you already have a confident dog as this will help him a lot. An apartment or house with a small garden will work well.
