Meet the gorgeous 6-months-old Max. He originally came from KSPCA Naivasha and, through collaboration of KSPCA and TNR Trust, we took him in at one of our foster homes. His foster parent Amy has always had a thing for the brown-eyed furry fellas, but somehow she has fallen for this blue-eyed handsome boy.
He was very shy and nervous at first. He would bark at people, but not because he is aggressive; he was barking out of pure fear. It took him about 10 days to really settle in, but, thanks to his foster parent and the dogs at the foster home, he is getting better day by day.

Max had been placed with a family before through KSPCA, but they returned him for this excessive barking at people. His foster parent eventually found a solution: Max needs to be introduced to people sitting down. He would be fearful and barking at people of all colours, whether they just stood there or moved. The reason why he was so afraid was that, in his previous home, he would be lifted up high while frightened to “break his fear”, à la Cesar Milan. This was not a good method to use.

With the right approach and a lot of patience, Max turned out to be a lovebug. He loves to play with the other dogs at his foster home and even wants to share the dog bed with the big Rottweiler at night.

We are looking for either soft, kind-hearted dog lovers or an experienced dog family to take Max into their hearts and home. When you meet him, he might be a bit nervous as it takes him a little time to warm up to new people. He would do even better to be together with an older, well-mannered or benevolent dog and we believe he can also be placed in homes with cats.
A superb snuggler.
